MONTREAL — There was a sense of satisfaction in the visitor's locker room at Bell Centre on Wednesday.

A sense of familiarity was in the air, also. This one felt like last spring.

The Penguins, fresh off a three-game losing skid and a wild victory that the coaches didn't particularly enjoy, played playoff-style hockey in Montreal. They handcuffed the speedy Canadiens throughout the contest and received offense from a multitude of role players in a 4-1 whipping.

"This," Ian Cole said, "was more like it."
