Isaiha Mike scored a career-high 19 points and helped Duquesne close out its non-conference schedule with a 70-57 win over visiting Colgate Thursday afternoon. The freshman wing cashed in on 6 of 13 shots, including three from beyond the arch en route to improving the Dukes' overall record to 7-6 heading into conference play.

With the score tied at 18, Duquesne went on an 11-0 run to push ahead in the first half. That 11-point outburst was fueled by Emile Blackman's alley-oop dunk and one of Mike's 3s. The Dukes wound up taking an 11-point lead into the break before Colgate cut the lead to as little as three on three different occasions in the second half. Duquesne then pushed ahead late and took a 55-45 lead and Colgate couldn't cut into it enough to make any damage.

In addition to Mike's 19, Tarin Smith and Mike Lewis II continued their hot streaks with 15 and 12 points, respectively. Smith also added five rebounds and three assists. Rene Castro chipped in 11 points and six rebounds off the bench, too.

Duquesne is now off until Dec. 30, when the Dukes open Atlantic 10 play at Fordham.
