ST. PAUL, Minn.Mike Sullivan is a smart man. The Penguins' situation was dire last season when he took control, but he quickly broke them down, figured them out and turned them into champions.

This team isn't in a dire situation. Completely figuring out this version, though, might take some more inspired work from Sullivan.

The team that looked invincible against the Rangers two nights earlier was a mess against the Wild in a 6-2 setback at Xcel Energy Arena on Friday. It's the fourth time in 11 road games that they've lost by at least four goals.
