Mike Sullivan singled out Evgeni Malkin, Phil Kessel, Chris Kunitz and, of course, Patric Hornqvist, after the Penguins' inspiring, short-handed comeback in the 3-2 win Thursday night against the Sharks at PPG Paints Arena.

Then, Sullivan went out of his way to mention one other player. He cut himself off in the middle of an answer, in fact, to make the addition.

"And Flower," Sullivan said of Marc-Andre Fleury. "I should add him to that mix."

No kidding.

The Penguins' start has been sporadic, but their backbone has been the guy who has long been their backbone. On the day when Matt Murray signed a new contract, Fleury proved his worth.
