Blewitt’s 31-yard field goal sends Pitt to come-from-behind victory

It was not discussed, but the memory of two late touchdowns at North Carolina and Oklahoma State lingered in the minds of Pitt’s defensive players.

They saw the offense secure a win against Marshall last week, and Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson decided to test them once again.

The defense took advantage with a fourth-down stop in Georgia Tech’s end, and the offense moved into field-goal range to set up Chris Blewitt’s 31-yard kick that bounced off the right upright and in as time expired to secure a 37-34 come-from-behind win in an ACC Coastal Division game Saturday at Heinz Field.
