It was an all-too-familiar collapse that erased what was a nearly flawless first half, but as much as Pitt’s players were relieved to snap a two-game losing streak Saturday night, they're frustrated to still be searching for answers in a season that still holds ACC Championship aspirations.

It’s not a problem that will easily be solved. That was apparent after Marshall scored 27 second-half points to nearly erase a 27-point halftime deficit, but Nathan Peterman’s 54-yard touchdown pass with 1:04 remaining helped the Panthers hold on for a 43-27 win over the Thundering Herd in front of 45,246 fans at Heinz Field.
