MILWAUKEE -- The pinch hits were important, sure.

But so was almost everything else in the Pirates' third consecutive win at Miller Park, which came by way of a 9-6 score on Saturday evening.

Get the obvious stuff out of the way first.

• Jameson Taillon was out of sorts, giving up five runs for the first time in the majors, including two home runs to nemesis Hernán Pérez. Taillon pitched just three innings, but the Pirates won anyway behind their biggest offensive output in 10 games.
