Welcome to Steelers analyst Chris Carter!

More Xs and Os in the football coverage, you say?

That's what many subscribers have told us they want, and we're responding the best way we can: Please join us in welcoming Christopher Carter to the full-time staff of DKPittsburghSports.com as our Steelers and NFL analyst.

Chris is born and bred for this role in every way. He's a 27-year-old native of the Homewood neighborhood of Pittsburgh, he graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School and graduating from Cheyney University, then earned his juris doctor at the Pitt Law School. On top of that, he grew up playing football, including at Allderdice, as the son of a football coach, and began extensive writing and analysis for our friends at the Behind the Steel Curtain blog.

Put all those together with a clear, concise writing voice, and we're confident Chris will add an extra element to beat man Dustin Dopirak's daily news coverage and offer Steelers fans the best and most complete experience yet on this site. I'll also be writing columns from every game, home and road, as I've done since the site launched. And photographer Matt Sunday will shoot every game, home and road.

We're expecting Chris will have his first piece for us later this week, building off Dustin's preseason coverage Friday night from New Orleans. After that, you'll also see and hear his analysis on Morning Java, DK Sports Radio and our various broadcast partners.
