What do you see?

Did Edwin Jackson just pitch a great game? Or did the Pirates simply fail against a historically erratic pitcher?

Did Travis Jankowski force a mistake with a heads-up play? Or did Antonio Bastardo foul up what should have been a routine throw?

Are the Pirates a postseason contender? Or are they an impostor in the race?

How you answer those questions might tell you as much about yourself as the Pirates, but there was one aspect of Wednesday night's 4-0 loss to the Padres at PNC Park that wasn't a Rorschach inkblot up for debate.
