Dave Brandt paused, took a deep breath and shook his head while recalling yet another late first-half meltdown. The Riverhounds' head coach can't seem to pinpoint why his club continues to struggle, despite generating quality scoring chances.

It's happened throughout his 10-match tenure, and it was much of the same Saturday night as Pittsburgh surrendered two goals in a 14-minute span late in the first half to fall 3-0 to Charlotte at Highmark Stadium.
