Zach Frazier has been named to the Pro Football Writers of America's All-Rookie team for the 2024 season.
Frazier, the team's second-round pick out of West Virginia, became the team's starting center when Nate Herbig went down with a season-ending shoulder injury right at the end of training camp. Frazier missed two games in the middle of the season with an ankle injury.
As a rookie, Frazier anchored the middle of a shaky offensive line, becoming the unit's most dependable and consistent player. According to Pro Football Focus, Frazier allowed just one sack and a total of 12 pressures. PFF had Frazier as the 5th-highest graded center in the NFL.
Frazier was also named the team's Rookie of the Year, which was voted on by the Pittsburgh chapter of the PFWA.
In addition to the All-Rookie team, the PFWA announced its Rookie of the Year, Offensive Rookie of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year. Washington's Jayden Daniels won the former two awards while the Rams' Jared Verse was named Defensive Rookie of the Year.
