A stretch of 12:39 in the second half without a field goal couldn't deny Robert Morris's men's basketball team of its first win of the 2016-17 season against Hampton Friday night at Towson University, 62-48.

After going up 45-24 out of the second-half gate, the Colonials had to overcome that long stretch. Luckily for Robert Morris, Hampton only cut the lead to single digits twice during the long stretch. Kavon Stewart converted on a driving layup with 2:45 left in the game to break the drought to keep Hampton at bay.
